What is Hati?
Hati.org.my is a non-profit web-portal on Malaysian charities, non-profit non-governmental organisations and underprivileged communities. We hope that one day HATI will be the “central station” for all things community related, where charities, NGOs, under-privileged communities, donors, sponsors and support groups can link up effectively.
Who’s behind Hati?
Hati.org.my is run entirely by a group of volunteers. We consist of Malaysians from different walks of life, not-aligned to any other organisation.
Why do you need Hati?
There are three main reasons to why Hati.org.my is needed.
- Firstly, the present lack of information on charities and non-profits organisations in Malaysia. When someone needs certain help, it is often difficult to find the needed information. The Internet presents an opportunity to have the information to be constantly available. We enable smaller charities to be highlighted, particularly those who are too busy to caring for their dependents and therefore have little time publicising their needs.
- Secondly, Hati.org.my hopes to create awareness and also be a catalyst towards volunteering in Malaysia. And to encourage the spirit of caring and connecting with the under-privileged.
- Last but not least, we hope that Hati.org.my will become the central information exchange where NGOs and charities can “talk” to each other and share experiences.
What do we do?
We provide information on charities and non-profit organisations in Malaysia online. We enable smaller charities to be highlighted, particularly those who are too busy caring for their dependents and therefore have little time to publicise their needs.
We promote volunteerism in Malaysia to encourage the spirit of caring and connecting with the under-privileged.
In the future ,we hope that Hati.org.my will be a central information exchange where NGOs, charities, support groups, donors, sponsors and volunteers can communicate with each other, and work towards the common cause of helping the less-privileged.
